I've had my phone for about a year, and the battery is dying. Sometimes it won't even last a day. So I figured I'd just get a new one that has a keypad thing for texting. I was thinking about a blackberry... but I don't know. I don't know anything about cell phones.... anyone know any good ones?
I use Verizon and be watchful of price! $$$ I'd like to keep it under $100.

usually a cell phone with a qwerty keypad is going to cost you over $100.
I have found one, im not sure where in TN you are so i just put nashville.

I recently bought a Crimson Palm Treo from Simoncells.com.
They have a huge collection of unlocked phones, meaning that they can be used on any quad-band network, or any network that uses the same GSM. They have a chart that lists all the providers in the U.S. and what type of network that provider runs off of. With all technical lingo aside, basically I could put my SIM card into the phone and it would work without losing features such as texting, multimedia messaging, etc.
The grand total came to about $250 but I'd say it was well worth it.
Be weary of Blackberry's because they are known to cost you a monthly fee.

I hate my blackberry.
I hate tmobile.
I think I'll put that in the official "I hate" thread LOL
PS I would LOVE it if you were able to text!! woot!!
I also love METROPCS - if it is in your area. I agree with Chelly, buy a used one online :)

I loved that one Monkey got a while back.... that blue one. But I think it was AT&T or something. :mavsad:
I found plenty of blackberry's and such on ebay for well under $100... so I know they're out there for that cheap. And I've already checked the verizon website... that was where I went first. And some of those were under 100 too... I didn't like most of them though. I really don't even like the blackberry, at least the way it looks... but I don't know of many others with the querty keypad.
I wanna sign up for the texting when I get something I can easily text on, lol. I don't want to have to search through letter choices for each button.

Honestly the best way to pick a new phone is to just go to a verizon store or dealer and play with the phones. That's what I've been doing.
I'm not a big fan of the qwerty keyboards, they feel weird to me. I am however a huge fan of flip phones. So I may be going with the Motorola Moto. AND it comes in purple!

You might want to check on ebay as well. I know one of our nephews bought his phone on there and he loves it. I'm not sure what kind it is but it looks a lot like what Wicked has now. Don't know if it's the same or not.

We have verizon and got the LG Voyager. It is a touchscreen phone and is a crossover between a PDA (blackberry) and a regular cell phone.
I got it about a month ago and my husband liked it so much he got one last weekend.
There IS an extra cost for the web brousing feature. $15.00/month
It has a qwerty keyboard.
It is bigger than the NVv2, but I like that it is bigger because the qwerty keys are larger and you can text faster.
Mine was free (2yr upgrade) My husbands was $149. (no free upgrade)
You can set the features up almost any way you like. i.e. you can be notified via your phone when you get a new email, etc.
The camera is AWESOME!
VZ Navigator is ok.
