:roll: 1. Avatar - every time someone talked about their avatar I thought they had a little action figure of that cartoon character from the show "Avatar"
:idea: 2. Signature - I didn't know a "sig" could be more than someone's handwriting.
:!: 3. Pwn - I actually had to ask someone what this meant... I had heard of "owning" someone. I thought that it might have been related, but wasn't entirely sure.
:?: 4. Noob - what the heck was a noob? I had no idea... I think I eventually figured this one on my own... when people would sometimes say noobie... I put two and two together.
:? 5. wo0t - I remember Mpiece CONSTANTLY typing woot and saying woot... I was like, "what the heck is woot?" obviously it was some sort of exclamation, but I wondered how a word so popular could have escaped my knowing. Seriously, this word is NEVER used outside the gaming world... lol
:oops: 6. MLG - yes, that's right. I had never heard of MLG
:| 7. Clans - obviously I knew a little bit before joining Delta that there were such things as clans... but before I never knew people actually got together and "practiced" video games... that's just crazy.
;) 8. Girl Gamers - I thought I was one of the, well, ten girls online.
:arrow: 9. DSO, KSI - I saw people online with these random letters in front of their gamertags... but I never knew what it meant...
10. FTW and MTAF - It took me a couple of months to figure out FTW. Matt and I both would sit at the tv reading messages and try to guess what it meant... somewhere along the line we found out, but we had no idea. "free to walk" "fight the weavles" "forward to women"...... And HONESTLY I didn't figure out MTAF until a couple weeks ago. I kept getting these messages from all you guys with MTAF at the front... it drove me crazy! I could not figure it out. Finally, I think it was a message from Jaded, and it just clicked.
So! I have an avatar and I like cool sigs. I love to pwn noobs. Wo0t! I want to go to an MLG competition and see all the different clans, especially all the hundreds if not thousands of girl gamers! I may even see some DSO and KSI or PMS people. I shall root for everyone and say, "FTW!" and then send a MTAF and tell about my trip. :rule:
